We've been meaning to shoot a short piece on the technology behind the Diversity Fin.
We chose the popular Shure® ULX-D receiver for the video because its handsome front panel design and performance are perfectly suited to demonstrate how microphone receivers handle - and benefit from - polarization diversity.
The actual testing of the ULX-D begins around 1:40. But if you don't already have an excellent understanding of diversity systems and wave polarization, the second half of the video won't be as telling.
